BagLimit: BC fishing regulations for the spot you're on
Can I fish here, and what can I keep? BagLimit uses your phone's GPS to find your British Columbia freshwater region or DFO tidal area, then lists each species with a clear answer. Download your area first and it works with no signal.
What BagLimit shows
- KEEP, with the daily and possession limits.
- RELEASE, for catch-and-release only.
- CLOSED, when a species is closed.
- CHECK, when the rule depends on something BagLimit can't confirm, with the rule text to read.
See your spot on the map, press and hold anywhere to check rules for that place, or search for a lake or river by name with no location needed. Every answer shows the date of the data it came from, with one tap to the official BC and DFO sources and DFO fishery notices.
Works without a signal
Each region or tidal area is a small pack saved on your phone, so you can check rules, search lakes and rivers and use your GPS position at the lake, on the river or offshore with no coverage. When you're online, BagLimit shows when a newer version of a pack is available.
